Run hugo (the static site generator) painlessly from Node
A simple Node wrapper around hugo, the static site generator. It fetches the right hugo executable before piping all provided command line arguments to it.
$ npx hugo-cli -h
INFO hugo not found. Attempting to fetch it...
INFO fetched hugo v0.104.3
INFO extracting archive...
INFO hugo available, let's go!
hugo is the main command, used to build your Hugo site.

Usage:
hugo [flags]
hugo [command]

If you want to download a specific hugo version, you can set HUGO_VERSION
env before you run the command.
$ HUGO_VERSION=0.64.0 npx hugo-cli version
$ HUGO_VERSION=0.64.0/extended npx hugo-cli version
Add to your build scripts in package.json
to build you site from NodeJS:

},
"dependencies": {
"hugo-cli": "*"
},
...
Execute directly via npx
:
npx hugo-cli server
